DayStar Enhanced Circulation
Systems
There are many
decision options faced when selecting s solar hot water system.
One of the most common issues faces is the use of a whole house
re-circulation system. General plumbing practice is to
install a return line from various remote points in the house to
the hot water heater with the comment that it costs under ten
dollars per month to run the pump. Quite true but what
about the heat to keep the water warm - We have measured several
systems on moderately sized houses that require the equivalent
of over a gallon of propane to operate per day!
Second tank
re-circulation is an option to enhance storage capacity allowing
more collection or greater stored energy from an existing
system. In general, this will keep the domestic hot water
elements or gas shut off for the majority of the time.
Combining these
systems can be challenging and is generally misunderstood or
downplayed. Do not underestimate a poor circulation system
as it can wipe out all of the gains that the solar system is
furnishing.

DayStar Custom Systems
There are times when
our standard systems do not meet the demands of the building.
For these systems Cascade Sun Works will analyze the
requirements, design and supply a custom built system using
quality components.
The engineering and
documentation package that we supply for these packages remains
unequalled in our area. On many systems we dedicate a
password protected web site for distribution of information on a
24/7 basis for the duration of the project. Data
acquisition and remote monitoring are all conducted on a regular
basis.
Quality equipment is
key to go along with our engineering to insure that the product
is reliable and durable.
