Northwest Crossings, Bend, Oregon

This residence built by Craftsman Homes, uses a Cascade Sun Works i-80 Northwest Edition solar hot water system preheating the water being fed to an 80 gallon Energy Smart American Hot Water Heater.  The solar storage tank has tank-tank recirculation to the 80 high-efficiency electric hot water heater.

 A 2.2kW Grid Tied photovoltaic electric system was also installed.  The system uses 12 Sharp NT-180U-1 Mono-Crystalline photovoltaic modules mounted on a flush mount UniRac rail system.  The inverter selected for this project was the PV Powered PVP2800-XV manufactured in Bend, Oregon.

  These systems qualified for the Energy Trust of Oregon Incentive Program as well as State of Oregon Solar Tax Credits.
