Oregon Parks and Recreation Department contracted with Cascade Sun Works to design and furnish a solar system that would replace an aging and poorly installed existing solar system

Commercial DayStar Thermal System furnishing hot water for the bivouac shower restroom facility located at Smith Rocks State Park, in Central Oregon.  A Heliodyne HP48 heat exchanger was used  with 320 ft² of collection supplied by Gobi 410 collectors, 250 gallons storage and Takagi T-K2 back-up.  This system can produce over 160,000 BTUs of hot water per day.
