Cascade Sun Works has expanded this off-grid home to have a capability of 2.5 kw PV array, Whisper H80 Southwest Windpower wind turbine feeding a 48v battery bank of 24, 2 volt IBE batteries.  A Trace 5548 inverter supplies power to the home with back up power supplied by a 6.5 kw Onan self start generator.

The home, designed by urbansun of Bend, OR features walls of R27 and a roof of R40 insulation manufactured of structural insulated panels.  The solar storage mass floor is of a Katchadorian design.
